Financial Analyst
Overview:
BFG Enterprise Services is seeking a Financial Analyst ready to go beyond reporting and make a real impact on the profit and loss. You’ll work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, partnering with operations to protect margins, improve execution, and drive accountability across a high-volume Field Service IT business.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Partnership: Act as a key financial partner to the Senior Leadership Team, providing visibility into margins, cost drivers, and revenue performance.
Reporting & Automation: Lead initiatives to automate reporting and improve data accuracy, turning manual trackers into real-time insights.
Financial Analysis & Insights: Provide high-impact reporting on KPIs such as utilization, cost-per-call, and client profitability, turning data into actionable recommendations.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and monthly/quarterly forecasting cycles, collaborating with operations and accounting teams to ensure alignment and accuracy.
Margin Protection and Risk Management: Monitor financial performance to identify inefficiencies, cost overruns, and margin leakage; develop and implement corrective actions while ensuring accountability across teams.
Financial Control: Ensure accurate cost allocation and billing while maintaining data integrity and seamless reporting for senior leadership.
Problem Solving: Support Accounts Receivable and cash flow by uncovering and fixing operational issues that slow down payment.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support strategic planning initiatives.
Qualifications:
3–5 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, ideally supporting P&L in a high-volume environment.
Finance designation required.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience handling large datasets.
Hands-on experience with NetSuite is highly valued.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into business insights.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to provide insights and influence business decisions.
Proven ability to lead complex projects, drive cross-functional initiatives, and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in Service Environments, IT, or Field Operations is an asset.
Hands-on experience with ServiceNow is an asset.
